There is a lot of talk about business success, but what really determines it?
Certainly, a predominant part is given by the human resources it possesses; therefore, the smartest move a company can make is to invest in these valuable resources.
In recent years, most companies have started to engage in this field, going beyond mandatory training, using methodologies such as Team Coaching to bring out the best in their employees.
The concept of Team Coaching has gained increasing interest from companies worldwide. Team Coaching is a collaborative process where a coach works with a group of people to improve their cohesion, communication, and overall performance. Unlike individual coaching, which focuses on the personal development of a single individual, the goal of team coaching is to optimize the functioning of the group as a whole. Proxima & Company has recently embraced this methodology, organizing both individual and group sessions for employees.
Challenges and Successes with Coaching
During the sessions led by our Coach, we worked in various areas using specific techniques:
Transactional Analysis: This technique is based on the theory that each person has three ego states (Parent, Adult, Child) that influence behavior and communication. Through the approach of transactional analysis, the team learned to recognize and manage these states to improve interactions and reduce conflicts. This led to greater mutual understanding and more effective communication, reducing tensions and improving collaboration.
Communication: The coaching sessions emphasized the importance of effective communication. Techniques such as active listening, constructive feedback, and non-verbal communication were introduced to improve clarity and mutual understanding. These skills allowed the team to work more cohesively and solve problems more quickly and efficiently.
Time Management: Time management is crucial for productivity. The team learned methods to prioritize activities, plan efficiently, and reduce distractions. Tools like the Eisenhower matrix and the Pomodoro technique were used to optimize time use. This led to greater productivity and better deadline management, reducing stress and increasing work quality.
Creativity: To stimulate creativity, techniques such as brainstorming and lateral thinking were introduced. These methods helped the team generate new ideas and find innovative solutions to problems. Improved creativity led to more effective solutions and a more dynamic and stimulating work environment.
Conclusion
Team coaching represents a significant investment for any company that wishes to improve the performance and cohesion of its team. As we have already begun to experience firsthand within our organization, the benefits can be significant and lasting, positively impacting the entire organization. Among the most cited by our employees: greater self-awareness and awareness of others, greater self-confidence, a greater sense of responsibility, better goal-setting ability, and fewer stressful situations in the workplace.
Continuing on this path can lead to an even more productive and satisfying work environment for all team members. We are excited to see where this journey will take us and happy to continue in this direction!
